I photograph life on the Trinity River in Liberty County, Texas ? fog rolling through ancient hardwoods, sandbars in winter snow, dogs at golden hour, the slow moods of a place most people never see. I've been making images since childhood, drawn to light and color before I had words for either. My work is documentary and atmospheric: the same bend of river across seasons, the same land through flood and fog and sun. I shoot on a Canon EOS Rebel T7 and Samsung NX300, working at all hours from Seven Mile Bend, where the river takes the yard slowly and Spanish moss moves in the morning light.
