The Epson is most likely a flatbed scanner-not really the best for scanning 35 mm. I would get a dedicated film scanner like a Microtek or Plustek. The Minolta scanner is no longer made. Maybe Nikon still makes one. Please search for a dedicated film scanner. These scanners only scan film not prints. posted in "Epson" film scanner - ?
