Biografia artistica
Sono un fotografo che lavora esclusivamente con Dreamstime.com.
I'm a self-taught freelancer who started by photographing boring stuff on white... so much that I actually learned something from it. I now find myself facing the challenge of photographing people in a fresh and realistic way. I believe that every natural expression is worth photographing. Whether it will turn out great or not is mostly a matter of angle, light and the passion you have for photography.
Since April 2007 I'm a member of Dreamstime's remote image editors team.

Works now. I'd take a 50D (body only though; I think it's cheaper on Amazon.com) and if you want to pair it with a bit longer lens, you might also want to look at the Canon 24-105 f/4 L lens. It's also nice and reliable.
As for the 100mm macro - that's the one I meant as well.
Let the Nikon users give some comments too and hopefully then you'll have a better idea of what will suit you better. :) posted in new gear need advise and opinions would like some nikon input as well :)
Welcome to Dreamstime, Robert!
Unfortunately, the Adorama link you've provided doesn't show any cart contents (I believe they're kept locally on your PC in the form of a browser cookie), so I can't tell much about what you had selected.
Based on your words, however, I guess that a Canon 50D and a Canon 24-70 f/2.8 L lens would fit your budget (based on Amazon prices for unused products) and most of what you would like to shoot. You could get the 100mm macro lens by Canon later on if you'd like to put more effort into macro photography.
The 7D would be a hard one to fit into your budget, in my opinion, esp. if you want good glass.
My personal advice is - look for a decent body (ie. Canon 50D) and get a lens that would cover the most used focal lengths you would need for your photos. The 24-70mm won't be as wide on the crop sensor of the 50D (multiply by 1.6 to get actual 35mm equivalents) but would cover most of what you'd need for portraits and landscapes. The Canon 24-70L lens also offers superb quality.
Alternatively, you could look into a Canon 40D (perhaps even refurbished) and invest into one more lens.... or more accessories (ie. flash, tripod). posted in new gear need advise and opinions would like some nikon input as well :)
